BBQ on the Road!

BBQ on the Road!

David Klose BBQ Trailer

This BBQ is a wild seven-foot ribs-filled ride. It’s got 24-karat gold rims and 160,000 BTUs that can cook up more meat than your meager colon can ever handle. While waiting for the burgers to hit the well-done mark, you can play around with the satellite radio and TV, a Sony flat panel TV, a DVD player and DVR—which are all solar powered.

BBQ + Chocolate

BBQ Sauce Chocolates

BBQ Sauce Chocolates

Michael Mischer has unveiled an unusual new artisan chocolate piece for summer: barbecue, made with sauce from fellow Oaklanders Everett and Jones.

“I love barbecue,” explained Mischer, “and one day I was at the grocery store, looking at sauce, and I got this idea.”

While this might sound like a shocking pairing, it definitely doesn’t jolt the palate. Barbecue sauce forms the smoky, slightly spicy base of a soft caramel filling encased in dark Felchlin chocolate from Switzerland. The combination is downright sensible.

Green Clean

Green Clean

Eco-Green® Oven, Grill & BBQ Cleaner is a plant-based cleaning liquid formulated to break down the toughest grease, oil and food residues for fast and efficient cleaning of ovens, grills and barbecues. Oven, Grill & BBQ Cleaner can tackle the most challenging cleaning situations, yet is safe for both users and surfaces.

Oven, Grill & BBQ Cleaner uses super-small Micro-Blasting® molecules derived from food-grade ingredients to penetrate dirt and oils. This formula breaks the hydrocarbon bonds that hold grease molecules together. As a result, the tiny grease particles repel one another and won’t re-deposit onto cleaned surfaces.

The cleaner’s added lifters and emulsifiers allow Oven, Grill & BBQ cleaner to penetrate deeply and remove ingrained grime, grease, oil, and soils.

BBQ App

BBQ App

“Barbecue” is a classy little iPhone app. It’s one of several cooking game apps including More Toast! More Pizza! and Cupcakes that have come out recently in the iTunes store, where the object of the game is to cook a virtual meal.

In “Barbecue” you “light” a match by striking it against the iPod Touch or iPhone screen. Once the fire is started (you can blow in the microphone to stir the flame), toss corn, shish kebabs, steaks and hot dogs on the grill, brown them and flip them (double tap the screen), taking care not to burn them (drag them off the grill with your finger if you do), unless that’s how you like your meat. You “serve” the finished dish, sending the image of your plated meat (against a tablecloth of your choosing)  via Facebook, Twitter or e-mail to friends and family members who will think you’re awesome for having grilled something so lovely for them. It’s silly, but it’s an experience well worth the 99 cents it costs. Or so I thought

Solving human problems...one at a time...

We’re just added another use for the bacon – a cure to your hangover! Its scientifically proven too!

Elin Roberts, of Newcastle University’s Centre for Life said: “Food doesn’t soak up the alcohol but it does increase your metabolism helping you deal with the after-effects of over indulgence. So food will often help you feel better.”

This is not what they meant by “grass-fed beef”!

Introducing the USB BBQ!

This one comes by way of Japan. Of course. Where else can you find this potent combination of technical ingenuity and love of meat?

For you busy cubicle dwellers who think there’s no time to grill, we say to you this: There is always time to grill.

All it takes is 25 USB ports and some stuff you can probably find at Radio Shack. We don’t read Japanese here at Mills Grills, but we all know that barbecue is the true international language.
